The Last Ride Project

We’re proud to announce that Survey Max has become the latest sponsor of The Last Ride Project, joining Grundon and Brewin Dolphin part of the Royal Bank of  Canada in supporting a world-first in global ski mountaineering.

The project’s aim is for its elite team of athletes to become the first to climb and ski the tallest mountain on each of the seven continents - from Kilimanjaro at the peak of Africa, to Mt. Vinson in the far-gone plains of Antarctica, and culminating in a nail-biting winter expedition on Mt. Everest.

Described as the "Last Ride", the project will bring to light the unprecedented rate at which the historic glaciers are melting, and devastatingly, the last time anyone might be able to ski all seven summits.

The ambitious project will be captured in an exploratory documentary investigating catastrophic deglaciation and its effects within the wider climate emergency. Footage from the mountains will be shared as an eight-part series, uncovering new information found during the expedition and exploring tangible strategies to preserve our world.

David Price said: “When we heard about the impressive expedition set out by The Last Ride Project, an elite team of athletes local to Survey Max HQ, we had to get involved.”

“Our partnership will provide vital funds for the challenging expeditions testing human endurance. Importantly, we will engage our wider networks and communities in the ultimate goal of The Last Ride Project - to share a greater understanding of our natural world and the impact of climate change.

“Survey Max is proud to partner with such an ambitious and important project. Good luck to Ed, Will, Jack, Jon and the whole expedition team.“
